Passmore & Oliver Partners is a specialist legal services strategy and regulation consultancy. We are global experts on the changing legal market — working with law firms, investors and regulators across the UK and internationally on some of the most complex and consequential regulatory questions in the profession.

We are looking for two UK-based compliance professionals to join our team. These are substantive roles with real client responsibility, working directly alongside the firm’s founders and senior advisers. If you want to do genuinely interesting work at the frontier of legal regulation, we’d like to hear from you.

Current Opportunities

Risk & Regulatory Consultant

Salary: £40,000 – £50,000
Location: UK – primarily home-based
Type: Full time or part time

This role is central to our UK compliance practice. You will work directly with law firm clients on SRA compliance, AML advisory, CLC and IAA compliance, and regulatory due diligence. In the early stages of the role you will work under the supervision of a senior colleague, developing your expertise with real client exposure from day one. Over time you will take on increasing independence, including handling straightforward client engagements on your own.

We are looking for someone with solid SRA compliance experience — gained inside the regulator, in a law firm or in a consultancy — who presents exceptionally well, works well independently, and wants to play a genuine role in growing the firm.

This is a senior technical role with real independence. You will manage your own portfolio of law firm clients, independently handle SRA applications, lead regulatory due diligence work on transactions, and act as a technical authority within the team. You will also be expected to take personal ownership of building and developing client relationships.

We are looking for an experienced compliance professional with a strong SRA background, proven ability to manage client relationships independently, and the drive and credibility to help grow the firm’s practice

What We Offer

•        £40,000–£50,000 (Consultant) or £52,500–£65,000 (Senior Consultant), depending on experience

•        Discretionary annual bonus scheme

•        Private healthcare insurance (after 6 months’ service)

•        7.5% employer pension contribution (employee contributes 3.75%)

•        28 days holiday plus bank holidays

•        Primarily home-based with flexible and part-time options available
